Sadie & Jay – Curious

The soundtrack to my commute to work  this week – “Curious” by the extraordinarily talented Sadie & Jay (Sadie Gwynn Jones and David “Jay” Penman).

I bought the album after mixing their performance at the first Folk at Magda’s this past weekend. It’s an album of ten gorgeous original songs, with delightful songwriting from both, great singing, individually and in harmony (Sadie’s voice, in particular, is exquisite), terrific guitar & bouzouki playing from Jay, all superbly recorded, mixed & mastered by Mark Smith. I’m especially in love with the opening track, “Why Would You”, which is enchanting & inspiring, in equal parts!! You can buy the album at sadieandjaymusic.com.
